Dopo tre anni ritroviamo Alex e Niki che, dopo essersi giurati amore eterno, sono ancora più innamorati di prima, al punto che Alex si é definitivamente convinto che Niki sia la donna della sua vita anche se é molto più piccola di lui. Decide così di fare il grande passo e chiede alla ragazza se lo vuole sposare. Niki é felicissima ed accetta, ma, man mano che si avvicina la data delle nozze, si fa prendere dalla paura e annulla tutto. Da questo momento una serie di accadimenti dai risvolti più disparati movimenteranno la loro storia, ma forse per loro non é ancora detta la parola fine...
